Released in 1973 exclusively in Japan on A&M, Max 20 is a compilation showcasing the best of Sérgio Mendes & Brasil ’77. Blending Brazilian bossa nova, samba rhythms, pop, and jazz, the album captures Mendes’s signature sound that made him an international star in the late ’60s and ’70s.
