Collection: Riverside

Founded in 1953 by producer Orrin Keepnews and Bill Grauer, Riverside Records became one of jazz's most important labels during its decade-long run. Starting with reissues of early jazz masters, Riverside quickly established itself as home to some of the genre's most significant recordings.

The label's golden era came in the late 1950s and early 1960s, capturing Thelonious Monk's most celebrated period and Bill Evans' groundbreaking trio albums. Riverside also recorded career-defining sessions for Wes Montgomery, Cannonball Adderley, Johnny Griffin and Charlie Byrd.

Whether you're after the angular brilliance of Monk, the lyrical sophistication of Evans, or the guitar mastery of Montgomery, Riverside's catalog represents jazz at its most creative and enduring.
