Where is Lush Life Records located?
Lush Life Records is an independent online record store based in Sydney, Australia. While we don’t yet have a physical shopfront, every record you see on our website is stocked, handled, and shipped directly by us.
We specialise in new vinyl, vintage pressings, Japanese imports, and rare finds, all carefully packed and sent from our Sydney headquarters.
Are the items listed as available actually in stock?
Yes, every record listed as Available is in stock and ready to ship. If something is marked Back soon, it’s temporarily sold out. You can add your email to the product page to be notified as soon as it’s restocked.
On rare occasions, if a record becomes unavailable due to stock discrepancies, we’ll contact you immediately with options, including refund or substitution.
Do you sell jazz reissues and audiophile pressings in Australia?
Lush Life Records curates high-quality Blue Note Classic Series and Tone Poet titles, alongside reissues from labels like Verve, Impulse!, Brownswood, and International Anthem. Other good options include Vinyl Me, Please editions and Japanese pressings, which we stock regularly.
Do you sell Japanese or original pressings?
We source Japanese, UK and US original pressings weekly, with all listings authenticated and graded before shipping.
Can you help me find a record?
Absolutely. If you’re hunting for something we don’t currently stock, we’ll do our best to track it down.

Do you sell new or secondhand records?
We stock both. Our new vinyl section features sealed reissues, contemporary releases and audiophile editions. Our vintage and secondhand listings are fully cleaned, inspected and graded using the Goldmine Standard, with condition clearly noted in each description.
Are the records new and sealed?
Unless stated otherwise, all records are brand new and sealed. Any vintage or secondhand titles are clearly graded, photographed, and described with care, and every used record comes in a fresh, resealable outer sleeve for protection.
What’s your grading process for secondhand vinyl?
Every used record is visually inspected and, where needed, play-tested. We grade conservatively, list sleeve and media condition separately, and include detailed notes for any marks or wear. See our Secondhand Grading Guide for full details.
What are your shipping options?
Currently we only ship Australia-wide, with international market to be added soon. All orders are packed securely and shipped via Australia Post.

Standard Shipping: $9.95 (Free for orders over $100)
Express Shipping: $14.95

Do you ship internationally?
Yes via our Discogs store for select items. We ship worldwide via Australia Post using sturdy, multi-layered mailers designed for vinyl. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight. We're not currently taking international orders via our main website but this will change soon.
How do international taxes and customs duties work?
For international customers, local import taxes and duties may apply. These charges are set by your country’s customs agency and are not included in our prices. You’ll usually be notified by your postal service or customs office if any payment is required before delivery.
Do you offer returns or shipping insurance?
Lush Life Records offers full coverage for damaged or defective goods, in line with Australian Consumer Law. For international buyers, parcels include tracking and insurance.
Can I pick up my order?
At this stage, Lush Life Records operates as an online-only store. However, if you’re based in Sydney and need something urgently, drop us a message, local pickup may be possible by arrangement.
How do I track my delivery?
Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number from Australia Post. If you don’t see it, please check your spam or promotions folders. Still can’t find it? Email us, we’ll resend the details.
How long will delivery take?
Standard delivery times depend on your location, typically 3–6 business days within Australia. Please allow additional time during busy periods, especially November–December. You can also check Australia Post’s delivery estimates for the most accurate timings.
Will my record be safe in the post?
Absolutely. We use heavy-duty cardboard mailers designed specifically for vinyl, with corner protection and extra padding to prevent bends or seam splits.
Each record is packed with care and marked FRAGILE. In the rare event that your order arrives damaged, contact us immediately, we’ll open a case with Australia Post and make it right.

Can I return my item?
If your record arrives damaged or defective, you’re fully covered under Australian Consumer Law. Simply email us with photos and details, and we’ll guide you through a replacement or refund.
Change of mind returns are possible within 30 days of purchase for new vinyl only, provide the record remains undamaged and sealed.

Can I make changes to an order I’ve just placed?
Yes, if you’ve made a mistake or need to update your address, contact us as soon as possible before your order ships. We’ll do our best to amend it before dispatch.
What if I haven’t received my order?
Check your tracking details first, they’ll show the latest update from Australia Post. If it says delivered but you can’t locate your package, please contact Australia Post directly. In some cases, they may ask you to file a missing item report.
If your order included a pre-order item, all items will ship together once that record is released.
Why do vinyl record prices vary?
Vinyl pricing depends on our suppliers, many of whom are based in the US, Japan, and Europe. Shipping, exchange rates, and label price changes all play a part. We price every record fairly and competitively, with an emphasis on quality over volume.
Do you price match?
As a small, independent store, we can’t compete with the bulk-buy pricing of major retailers, but we always set the best possible price for genuine pressings and limited editions.

How long are gift cards valid for?
All Lush Life Records gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
Why haven’t I received my gift card?
Gift cards are digital and sent via email shortly after checkout. If you can’t find it, please check your junk or promotions folder. Still missing? Email us and we’ll resend it right away.
