Money Jungle is one of the most explosive piano trio recordings in jazz. Captured in 1962 and released in 1963, it brings together three giants: Duke Ellington on piano, Charles Mingus on bass, and Max Roach on drums.

The chemistry is fiery and unpredictable — Ellington’s elegance collides with Mingus’s restless drive and Roach’s rhythmic invention. The result is raw, urgent, and endlessly creative, ranging from the brooding title track to swinging reinterpretations of standards.
