Collection: The Offline

The Offline is the moniker of Hamburg-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and photographer Felix Müller. The project came to life when Müller travelled the Atlantic coastline in southern France with his camera, capturing beach life on film. After returning to Hamburg, he started writing songs as the sonic counterpart to the visuals. His expansive, cinematic sound blends library music, jazz-funk, psychedelic influences, soul, surf, hip-hop, and lo-fi beats. He channels the influence of 1960s and 70s film composers including François de Roubaix, Brian Bennett, and David Axelrod. His music has been compared to Surprise Chef, Robohands, and Khruangbin. He works with regular collaborators including drummer Chris Hill, bassist Sebastian Schütze, keyboardist Felix Behrendt, trumpeter Hans-Christian Stephan, and saxophonist Kimo Eiserbeck.
