Influenced by João Gilberto, Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Caetano Veloso, and Milton Nascimento, his career launched in 2012 with the band Dônica, formed with Lucas Nunes, Tom Veloso (son of Caetano Veloso), Deco Almeida, and Miguel Guimarães. Their debut album Continuidade dos Parques (2015) blended MPB with progressive rock through complex arrangements, earning critical acclaim and winning the 27th Brazilian Music Award for Best Group in 2016. In 2019, Ibarra joined Milton Nascimento's band as singer, guitarist, and musician for the Clube da Esquina tour (2019) and the farewell show Última Sessão de Música (2022), often opening these shows with his originals and Brazilian classics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIbarra co-founded the Latin Grammy-winning collective Bala Desejo, whose album \u003cem\u003eSIM SIM SIM\u003c\/em\u003e won acclaim and was performed at festivals including Rock in Rio, Primavera Sound, and Roskilde 2023. He collaborated with Gal Costa on a duet \"Meu Bem, Meu Mal\" for her 2021 album \u003cem\u003eNenhuma Dor\u003c\/em\u003e, and with Ney Matogrosso and Duda Beat on \"Bédi Beat\". Guest contributors include Jonas Sá on keyboards and synthesisers, Frederico Heliodoro on guitar and bass across several tracks, and Lucas Demoro on piano, guitar and synthesiser. The Copacabana Horns — Diogo Gomes on trumpet, Marlon Sette on trombone, Jorge Continentino on saxophone and flute — appear on the opening track \"Infinito em nós.\" String arrangements on \"Essa Confusão\" are by Jaques Morelenbaum, the renowned Brazilian cellist and arranger who has worked with Caetano Veloso and Ryuichi Sakamoto, among many others. \"Segredo\" is a composition by Sophia Chablau; \"Essa Confusão\" is co-written by Dora Morelenbaum; the album also includes a cover of a Tom Veloso composition.
